Looking for something new to read this year? Check out the best book trailers from 2012! Book trailers are just like movie trailers but are about books instead (sorry, I'm Captain Obvious errr obviously). My favorite out of the list is actually "52 Reasons to Hate my Father" and it usually isn't my style of book at all. Anyway, happy watching and reading, see you at the library in 2013!

The Case of the Deadly Deperados by Caroline Lawrence
I’m a sucker for cowboys and this trailer is just weird /cheesy enough to be awesome.

In a Glass Grimmly by Adam Gidwitz
I loved “A Tale Dark and Grimm” and the sequel looks even better!

Team Human by Justine Larbalestier
I think I might be agreeing with the scientist (he didn’t go to Paranormal Medical school for 7 years for you to contract him!!!), but the book still looks hilarious.

The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy
Another kind of sarcastic fairy tale, I love the animation.

A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel by Madeleine L'Engle; adapted and illustrated by Hope Larson
This is such a gorgeous graphic novel, I love the way the trailer just highlights the beautiful art.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
I don’t love the art in this one, but this book is so good!

The Insomniacs by Karina Wolf
This is the prettiest trailer I’ve seen in forever, I can’t wait to read this book!

The Diviners by Libba Bray
This book is on my desk right now, but this trailer freaked me out so bad, I’m kind of afraid to open it up.

52 Reasons to Hate My Father by Jessica Brody
This trailer seriously looks like a movie trailer.  I usually don’t like “rich girl” books, but this one looks really good.

The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour
Julie at the Orange branch loved this book.  I think the trailer has a great road trip feel to it, fun and light.
