If you decorate a tree this season and are looking for fun ways to make new ornaments with your little ones, look no further! Here are some great craft projects the whole family will love that will light up your tree this year:

Martha Stewart Toy Ornament

Martha Stewart has a great tutorial on making ornaments out of old toys. Find a festive way to display small cars, stuffed animals and other cherished items and add some personal touches to your holiday decorating.

Another Martha Stewart gem for the family: making ornaments out of buttons. Using some pipe cleaner and stray buttons, put together some cute critters or shapes. Add googly eyes or pom-poms as an extra embellishment. Cookie Cutter Tree

Looking for something simpler? Use a cookie cutter to trace a holiday shape on felt and then cut out and decorate as you please! Use leftover buttons, sequins and beads to add pizzazz to your cut-outs.

For more craft ideas, come check-out a family friendly craft book from any of the Delaware County District Library branches. Happy decorating!
