I just watched a great new music documentary called Sound City. The documentary is about the now-defunct Sound City recording studio in Los Angeles where many influential albums like Nirvana’s seminal Nevermind have been recorded. The documentary was produced and directed by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl and features musical performances and interviews by many of the recording artists and music legends who have recorded at Sound City studios over the years including Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Rick Springfield, Tom Petty and others.

This is only one of the many sweet music “docs” in the library’s collection. If you’re into music, you might want to check out some of our other great choices like The Devil and Daniel Johnson, The Ramones: End of the Century, Jazz, Woodstock 3 Days of Peace and Music, The U.S. vs John Lennon, Buena Vista Social Club, and many others. If there is a title we don’t own that you would like to see in our collection, we’d love the feedback!  Just let us know by clicking here or leaving a comment on this post.
