Orange Book Buddies Celebrate Celebritrees by Planting One of Their Own!

Blog Section:

In honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day, the Orange Branch Library Book Buddies focused on the book Celebritrees by Margi Preus. The book features historic and famous trees around the world. After discussing all the great things trees give us, the Book Buddies went outside and planted Orange Library’s own Celebritree--a Dogwood that the kids will be able to come back and watch grow! (Thanks Lewis Center Home Depot!) Each participant also got a tree seedling to take home, along with a watering can made out of recycled milk jugs and a pinecone bird feeder.

The Library Has Gone to the Dogs!

One of our very special furry friends named Dumbledore, will be on hand or should we say, paw, to sit and listen to children read to him at our "Paws for Reading" program currently scheduled at our Delaware Main, Orange, and Powell branches.

This program allows young or timid readers a positive and comfortable opportunity to work on their reading skills while getting to cuddle up with a fuzzy new friend. Register soon for this free program at your nearest branch.
