Meet Big George: SuperMicroscope

Ever wondered what a snowflake looks like magnified 400,000 times? What about cat food? Even brains! Meet at the Delaware Main Library at 4 p.m. then we'll walk to Ohio Wesleyan University and meet Big George 2.0, a Zeiss EVO LS10 Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope. Test samples under the microscope, then print and take your image home with you. We have a trip planned for Monday and Friday. Space is limited. Pre-registration required.

Freedom: A History of US Exhibit Open House

From January 9 through February 5, Delaware Main Library will host “Freedom: A History of US,” an exhibit from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History. It features the evolving concept of freedom from founding through the civil rights movement.

Join the Library for an open house with light refreshments on January 16 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Delaware Toddler & Preschool Dance Party

Come dance and sing with us at the Library! Join us on Friday mornings at 10 AM for a fun, interactive music program designed for kids ages 2 - 6 and their caregiver.

Engaging children in simple but powerful activities every day help them develop early literacy skills that help them get ready to read. These activities or practices are talking, singing, reading, writing and playing. All of our story times are planned using these skills that educate your children in fun, interactive and effective ways!
