Tell Us Your Story

The Library is an important thread in the fabric of our community, changing and improving lives every day.  These personal stories often go unspoken or unreported but are nevertheless transformational and powerful.  Please let us know how the Library has changed your life or the life of a love one—helped find employment, provided exciting and fun story times for your children, supported your educational aspirations, or found you the information you needed to achieve your goals.

To share your inspirational story, email us. You can also call us at 740-362-3861 and ask for someone in the Communications Department.

Here's just some of what people are sharing about DCDL:

Talking about our teen horror make-up program. "It was great!!! My daughter had such a great time! Came home and scared the neighbor sneaking up on him in his garage! Thanks." - Erin C.

"I have been able to 'read' many more digital audio books this year thanks to my Delaware County District Library card...Overdrive' rocks! Love you all." - Marylou Mc. C.
"...I hold a special place in my heart for the Delaware Branch...when I got a NOOK COLOR for Christmas, they showed me how to use it, how to download the proper programs on my laptop and how to download the books to my NOOK right...the gentleman that was helping me even called me a week later just to check on me...DCDL is the BEST!!!!!" - Jennifer L.
"My son was stationed in Afghanistan...and was using his Delaware Library card to log on to the Library's web site and download eBooks to read and audiobooks to listen to while deployed. Further, he happily shares his downloads with his platoon, many of whom have started to access eBooks from their hometown libraries all over the United States." - Connie S.
